If your horse is tentative into the contact (inconsistent), the NS Eggbutt offers the stability within the mouth needed to boost the horse's confidence causing it to seek the bit taking the rein forwards. Very beneficial for short tense necks. Also excellent for directional control. Unlike traditional eggbutts, feel and response is not lost i.e. the horse will not fix against the hand.

just tried this bit on a green pony we had in a normal egg butt he through his head up alot snatched the reins and with the help and advice from the horse bit bank hes know very good no riding with his head up in the air and no snatching of the reins i am really pleased and would use this company again.im having to return it as it a little too big but i want the same bit he seems very relaxed with it. i have had my bit on trial so a slight smaller one needed. if i was anybody wanting to purchase a bit i would defo go down the trial route what a fab idea.i have purchased a neue schule lozenge eggbutt .well worth the cost he slobbers as soon as i put it in his mouth.
