A very Merry Christmas from the Horse Bit Bank!

It’s the most wonderful time of the year… that’s right, it’s Christmas time! And it's certainly a lot more wonderful now that the snow and ice have melted and we’re able to ride, turn out horses and keep the water flowing through the pipes… The sudden appearance of some very wintery weather certainly helped us get into the Christmas spirit, but it did make life tricky for our customers up and down the country as they struggled to keep their horses healthy and happy. Add to that Royal Mail and parcel companies having logistical issues and we have had a fair amount to deal with recently and are very much looking forward to a holiday to regather our sanity! And that leads us rather neatly onto sharing our Christmas opening hours with you all.

Here’s when you can get hold of us for free bitting advice and product enquiries, and when our stock room will be open to dispatch bits and process returns. We will be closing at lunchtime on Friday the 23rd of December - that’s the office and the stockroom - and will reopen on Tuesday the 3rd of January. Our Christmas closing means that our Managing Director Jodie and the rest of our staff can have a proper break and enjoy the holiday with their families (well, probably mostly their horses…), and come back in 2023 refreshed and ready to go.

As we near the end of the year we would like to say a big ‘thank you’ to all our customers, followers and sponsored riders for your support this year. It’s been an amazing year and we’re proud to have helped hundreds of owners find the perfect bit for their horse. It never fails to give us a buzz when our advice and help means someone finds the key to their horse after struggling for a long time. There is a solution out there for every horse, sometimes you just need a little help and guidance to find it! Luckily Jodie has decades of experience and her finger on the pulse of the latest designs and launches from all the major bit brands, so we’re able to help virtually everyone who gets in touch. This year has been another exciting one with new styles from Sprenger, Bombers Bits and some new brands added to the website, including Cu Chulainnn and Winderen. We’ve also thoroughly enjoyed helping our sponsored riders with their bitting challenges and can’t wait to see how they get on in 2023.
